The Village is a women’s members-only social club based in San Antonio, Texas. Our website is ourvillage.com.
Comments
If you leave a comment on our site, we collect the information you enter in the comment form, along with your IP address and browser information. These help us catch spam before it reaches you.
Your email address may be used to pull a profile image from Gravatar, if you have one. You can read Gravatar’s privacy policy at automattic.com/privacy. Once your comment is approved, your profile photo will be visible alongside it.
Media
If you upload images to the site, please remove any embedded location data (EXIF GPS) first. Anyone visiting the site can download images and extract that data.
Cookies
We use cookies to make your experience here easier. Here’s what that looks like in practice:
If you leave a comment and opt in, we’ll save your name, email, and website in cookies so you don’t have to re-enter them next time. Those cookies stick around for one year.
When you visit our login page, we’ll set a temporary cookie to check that your browser accepts them. It holds no personal data and disappears when you close your browser.
Logging in sets a few additional cookies to remember your session and display preferences. Login cookies last two days; display preference cookies last one year. If you check “Remember Me,” your login extends to two weeks. Logging out removes all login cookies.

Who We Share Your Data With
If you request a password reset, your IP address is included in that email. We don’t sell or share your personal information with third parties for marketing.
How Long We Keep Your Data
Comments and their associated data are kept indefinitely so we can recognize and approve follow-up comments without holding them in a queue.
For members and registered users, we store the personal information provided in your profile. You can view, edit, or delete that information at any time (your username is the one thing you can’t change yourself). Our administrators can also access and update profile information as needed.
Your Rights
If you have an account on this site or have left comments, you can request a copy of all personal data we hold about you. You can also ask us to delete it. The only exception is data we’re legally or operationally required to keep.
Where Your Data Goes
Comments submitted on our site may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
